Joomla 5.2.3 Compatibility for JA Templates, Bug Fixes, and More

Hi,

currently, the Events page doesn't fully load. There are some jQuery errors that appear in the browsers inspector. Not sure if this happened with one of the latest JomSocial or Joomla updates - it used to work and we didn't change any of the configurations. Right now, it's not working at all anymore. Happy about any suggestions on how to fix this issue!

    Hi
To check the issue from template or JomSocial i set the default template to Protostar and it worked fine http://prntscr.com/ujwzi9
There is conflict from template side. i suggest you to raise the issue to template provider support.

Thanks for the answer. The template hasn't changed in the past few years - so the culprit must be one of the latest Joomla or JomSocial updates and it seems like there is a conflict in jQuery. Has the jQuery version (or the way it is loaded) changed in one of the past versions of JomSocial?

Also, the "look for errors" (or similar - had to translate it back from my local translation) option under the "Tools" section doesn't do anything. It tries to load, but aborts without any output. Any clue on how to solve this?

    Thanks so far!

      Hi
There are errors showing from the template you are using : http://prntscr.com/ukgp16
No such change added in JomSocial updates, If JomSocial not working with default Joomla template in that case there is issue, but as i checked it working fine and conflict showing from template files.

      Hi,

the problem isn't within the template. Chosing another template just didn't display any modules, so after some tinkering around, I found out there's a PHP Critical Error whenever a module is called on the JomSocial sites which uses the s2framework.

      Specifically, the error message is:

"PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare Aws\constantly() (previously declared in phar://aws-3.138.7.phar/Aws/functions.php:20)"

I saw there are some posts pertaining to an incompatibility of JReviews and JomSocial. Both worked fine until a little while ago, so I do not know whether it's a change in the code of JomSocial or JReviews. Will contact the JReviews developer as well, but would ask the JomSocial team to look into this just as well.

Solution for the time being: Disable any JReview modules on the JomSocial pages.

      Thanks for looking into this!
