Cannot connect Database in Quickstart

Evening Guys,

I downloaded ja-morgan earlier and went through the normal quickstart process. However, I am getting the following error message "Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Could not connect to MySQL server".

Never had this before. tried to search the forum but I couldn't get it to produce any results just kept telling em to refresh the page but no search result would appear (using Chrome on MAC).

Anyone had similar issue and no a solution to get the database to link. Thanks Jim

I just downloaded quickstart package of JA Morgan template and installed it successfully.

The error indicates that there is issue with the database connect which you're using. You should check the database info again.

You can also test it by installing default Joomla package and see how it goes. The issue must be from the database.

saguaros thanks figured it out now I had missed a letter on the databse user name. The site is working now but when I go to the backend I get the error when I put the user name and password in "Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet" Jim

I tried log into backend of your site but I don't see this error, is that ok now?

Yes I managed to fix it. saguaros I couldn't see where I can mark a post as resolved.
