How do I get part of the image on the slideshow to show on a nav menu link like on this link: https://www.product-adviser.com/proto/index.php/about-us-page
Partial banner display
The screenshot of 'mypage.jpg' has no banner image. I assume this was part of the slideshow banner from the main page but maybe not. Anyway, my About Us page has no banner image and on the quickstart site, http://www.product-adviser.com/proto/index.php/about-us-page, the whole image doesn't show, just a piece like the screenshot 'quickstartPage.jpg'. What to do to get that kinda a partial banner image on my About Us page?

arimakidd Hi
You can make changes in specific module. Ref: screenshot showing the specific section in documentation excerpt --> layout sub-tab
If still unable to get it right, Can you add your admin and ftp details in edit fields in in order for us to take closer look
For reference, You can follow thread post (5 point) procedure.

Just to underline the module position is the banner position on the template
If you want to name files I'd suggest not using the + as the separator
On the quickstart the module ID number of the module is 379 and titled "slideshow"
Slideshow Theme is standard
Cheers

I followed the instructions of the Page Headings section of the documentation for the template here, http://docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-templates/2013-template/newstream-2-documentation#tabbedarea
The page heading is not showing on my About Us page. Only the banner image is showing. not the header text I specified in my K2 item.
I specified About Us as the text in the page heading.

Okay no worries. Got it to work. I forgot to draft 'Title' into the Layout container.
I got it to work but not in the manner I wanted. I want the text to be what I specify in the 'Mneu Items' page display and not the name of the image. How do I do this? These are the banner pages that are showing fine thus far:
https://www.product-adviser.com/index.php/about-us
https://www.product-adviser.com/index.php/contact-us
The text at the moment is showing just below the banner image. I want it to show in the image just as the name of the image is showing now.
Just realized that if I remove the 'Title' tile from the Layout container the heading doesn't show in the image. I believe once that tile has been dragged into the Layout container it defaults to using the text from the name of the image. I want it to use the text from the 'Menu' Page Display tab.

arimakidd I want it to use the text from the 'Menu' Page Display tab.
As apparently seen, The specific feature to add "page heading" added via menu link page display tab as outlined here will work when Menu Item Type is selected as – Articles » Category Blog and the same isnt extended currently to – Articles » Single Article
Kindly confirm if you are fine with selecting Menu Item Type as mentioned above to have this functionality or wishing to have this also extended to – Articles » Single Article menu type so as to try and look for workaround or probably, discuss with team on the same
Thanks for the reply. What would the workaround be? I don't want any unexpected issues in the future due to a work around. Additionally I'm using K2 for my articles so I don't go Articles->Single Article but K2->Item->Item. Having said that what are the limitations with the image file name? Can it escape characters like ' a single quote? So if I wanted the page heading, It's About Us, how would I put the ' in the name of the file? What is the effort required for the workaround and what would the implementation be like? It may justify using the name of the file.
I'd probably look at us suggesting some css to see if we can move the positioning of the zentools title - if you needed that
Yes it does appear we only added the page heading to categories
If you wanted "It's About Us" in a file name that would be a problem - I don't think Joomla would allow you to use media manager to upload and even uploading via ftp might not work
Depending on the flexiblity you need for the site and who would be working with / updating it - a work around might be to try with a k2 category but use it as a single article by faking it using the k2 settings.
Another work around might be to try with zentools2 as this has more flexibility with titles and content sources but would probably need css adjustments
Okay, sound like a lot. Don't worry about it. I'll use the file name. So how should I put the file name for the text "About Us"? Should I name it, "About+Us.jpg"?
How do I get a space between the About and Us? I used "About+Us.png" but it comes out as "AboutUs" when I want "About Us". Need that space.
I personally use hyphens and underscores - and _
Joomla won't let you upload images using + and installing sites on windows servers or machines breaks as an extract wizard fails when it hits +

The About Us page is fine. Why does the Contact Us page show the underscore?
Okay don't worry. Had to change the delimeters in the zen module. Thanks. Sovled.
