K2 Filter Apostrophe Search Issue

Hello, we are experiencing an issue with the JA K2 Filter. When you search, if you enter an apostrophe character ' then you encounter an error. I entered the text test' and it triggered the error - 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '%', 1, 0) AS score_0, IF(i.introtext LIKE '%test'%', 8, 0) AS score_1, IF(i.`ful' at line 1. See Img01.

The filter seems to work when using exclamation marks ! and question marks ? as well as colons : and semicolons ;

How do I address this issue so it will not display the error? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, can this fix be included in an update?

It's issue of JA K2 Filter module and I've already reported to our developer for further checking and update.

trevorellis I updated temporary fix into your site so it will not throw that error. Our team will update our extension also and it will be available in next release.
