Megafilters Use Case

I am keen on using JA Megafilter but have two questions that I would like answered before I go for it... I could not find a clear answer to them anywhere on the site. Hence this post...
(1) Does Megafilter work with the core components eg. com_content and com_users?
(2) Will it work, or is there an established way to make it work, with custom fields implemented on a third party component that is not enumerated in your list of applications but implements custom fields?

JA Megafilter supports to filter articles in com_content of Joomla but not com_users

And you may already check out the info page of JA Megafilter that it supports several popular Joomla extensions: K2, Virtuemart, etc... Basically, to support each 3rd party extension, it will require a plugin for that integration so it can work with the component you're referring to but you need a plugin for it. However, at this moment, we provide plugins for extensions JA Megafilter supports by default only, you need to implement or hide a developer to implement that plugin for you.

In continuation, we are highly impressed with your extension and would like to go for it, but seek some quick confirmations before proceeding with the purchase.

We are using Joomla com_content with custom fields. Does the mega filter also filter on the core fields such as publish_date & title? It does seem so by looking at the demo, but we want to be absolutely sure as that is crucial to our implementation.
We are using a 'third party' custom 'Calendar' field to mark certain dates related to the content and we need to filter on those. Will the megafilter adopt to such fields out of the box, or will we have to do some coding to provide for it?
Is the layout for category list content the core layout provided by Joomla or an override provided by you? We are using a layout override for the article category list view. We are keen to know if that override would work through your extension? or will we have to once again override the layouts provided by you?

1 - Yes, JA Megafilter supports filter by date and title, you can see on our demo site for Joomla custom fields here: https://ja-megafilter.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/joomla-custom-fields-filter

2 - I'm afraid that JA Megafilter will support base fields of Joomla only, you will need to customize com_content plugin of JA Megafilter to support 3rd party fields.
