i am unable to load mp3 to media files which i need for player extension i am adding. i am trying to get a single player to play one song in the background

For mp3 file, you need to add audio/mpeg into the Legal MIME Types in Media options
I just added for you and also try to upload a mp3 file and it worked properly.
