By default, there will not be space on top of the sidebar on category page, I added this custom css to fix it:
.com_content.view-category .mr.with-image .sidebar { margin-top: 0 !important; }

but before you do more work, wouldn´t it be a good idea, if i uninstalled and reinstalled the template ... as they are other things, that are not working? (back to top, sticky nav) ...
You can backup your site first, then re-install template.

sorry for taking so long ... reinstalled the whole template. sticky nav and back to top button is now working again.

/templates/your_default_template/css/custom.css (Create this file if it doesn't exist)
