Hi,

When working in the back-end of my template, I am running into issues with the style manager in the T4 Framework. Any time I make a change to the template layout (i.e. a color change to section-4 of my template), the minute I hit save, the back end reverts back and doesn't save the change I just made. It does reflect my change on the front end, but when I go back to make edits, I am not seeing the true layout of the page. Any suggestions or solutions you have would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi stimulus

I don't see any content in that section-4 on homepage of your site, could you clarify the changes you made in details so I can check?

I am having the exact same issue and it is driving me crazy. I have tried everything I can think of...I made a short 30 second video showing the bug, what it does and how I am unable to get rid of a layout block. The video cannot be uploaded here due to being 6mb so Ive uploaded it to our server and you can just use this link: Bug Video

funnybug Are you using latest version of T4 plugin? You can create a new topic and share the credentials of your site eg: URL + super admin so I can help.

Hi! It may have been section 5. But the minute you try to make the change, it reverts back in the back-end.

stimulus The video shared by funnybug is exactly the same thing we are experiencing. It will reflect some of the changes on the front-end, but that is not helpful when those changes aren't reflected in the backend. We are using the latest version of T4 framework.

saguaros Ok, thank you. I will try this first and let you know if the problem persists.

saguaros Should I be downloading the T4 Framework, T4 Blank Template or T4 System Plugin? Or do I need to install all three?

@saguaros Ive updated the T4 plugin on this site to 1.1.2 which is the latest version and have the exact same issue as shown in my bug video. I should note for testing purposes I am using a vanilla quickstart install of the JA_Stark template with only akeeba backup added so far.

stimulus The T4 frame work is a "quickstart" install of a complete site. It will over write all files on your server. I think he means for you to install the plugin only.

I updated the plugin and am also still running into the same issue that was seen in the video from funnybug.

saguaros Ive just seen this message, please check your email for a message from "Funny Bug Sales".

I'm working on this issue and will get back to you asap.

@saguaros I appreciate the help, though please do not install insecure plugins on the site. Such as FF Explorer. If you need FTP access, ask for it and ill give it to you. Anyway, Ive not seen you respond to this in a few days, so im guessing you cannot track the bug down? I also saw that my firewall blocked you due to you logging into more than one concurrent session as an admin. You can only be logged in on one session, or the site will boot you, too many boots and it will blacklist your IP. If you do get locked out, or if you need anything just hit me up on skype or facebook messenger, i sent you my contact details via email several days ago. Looking forward to you tracking this down.

funnybug FF Explorer is developed by our developer so don't worry. I can't replicate the same issue at my end so one of 3rd party extensions on your site may cause this issue. I'm investigating further on this.

                    saguaros

Regarding FF - I see no reason why you or the developers there need root level access to my server, when all you need is access to the root of this particular domain, which I can give you instead of using FF and accessing the root of the entire server. Right?

Like i mentioned before, this behavior happens on a fresh install with no add-ons. The two add-ons ive added were added after i started posting here about the problem. It actually started happening right after i deleted the block you guys had in there in the install. As soon as i deleted the block, and replaced it with my own, the problem started. Now this may be coincidence, or it may not. It does however happen with all browsers Opera, Chrome, IE and Edge.

                    Hi stimulus

I tried to take a backup of your site to debug in my local, I tried to delete a section like topbar but it saved correctly. I meant the topbar section was removed completely.

Next, I tried to change the background color of section-4:

                    the frontend shows correctly:
