Hello. I downloaded your updated version of jomsocial but I have an issue. When I try to access the video, photos, groups, events, and etc., the links keep taking me back to the home page.
broman87 Hi Kindly change the Community Page Menu item access to Public As All the Toolbar menu item loads under the JomSocial frontpage and after login this menu is not visible for them there is error and it redirect user to Homepage.
Can you make it work for guest access please? I don't like using that page after user login. And the recaptcha doesn't work(not visible) on the member sign up page. Do you know how I can fix that? I keep getting bot accounts showing up.
broman87 Hi The Frontpage menu item is Core menu item that show all the Toolbar menu, It must be visible to all users. Without that no one can post on site, wall stream items etc. If you put it for guest still user can come and view the site, it does not make sense to show it public but not for registered users.
The only issue I have is that I don't want users to log on and see a bunch of shared content(Community photos, Community videos, groups, events, & etc.) from other people's page, that has nothing to do with their profile.
broman87 Hi If you do not want show the items in wall stream you can disable it from Jomsocial configurations > Layout > Frontpage Activity Stream. But this menu item must be published if you want to use the Toolbar menu items as they load under the Frontpage menu.
Disabling the wall stream will likely deactivate the activity stream on the other jomsocial menu page as well. I'm just going to have to figure out something else to do with the page. Do you know why the recaptcha isn't showing on the sign up page?
broman87 Hi I am not sure about captcha as this topic was for toolbar menu items. Can you make a separate thread for the captcha issue.
About the Frontpage menu type, you can use that as its not something to hide, you can set the default Filter to Only me and friends. So it will not show other users items. Hope it help.
Hi. I figured out my issue. I looked up the error problem on google and from the results I learned that I had to deactivate registration and recaptcha on K2 and now the registration page loaded up differently and I can see the recaptcha challenge. I downloaded k2 many months ago but never used it so some of the default active settings were interfering with my site. Just thought I tell you this in case you ran into another issue like this.
broman87 Hi. I figured out my issue
Glad to hear you found it in K2, in case you want to use JomSocial registration you can use captcha via JomSocial > configurations > Registration > captcha.
