Educatsy - issues. (I can't find the forum for this template as it was just released yesterday)
- Masthead is not always required on every page in the website. For example, I want to use Jomsocial and do not need the masthead on these pages as it takes up too much space. If masthead is turned off for ANY page, the mainnav cannot be seen because its colour palette is too light to be visible. It needs the masthead to be able to see megamenu items.
So the solution is to change the Pallet colour in mainav Header (Layout settings/Row OPTIONS). However, if I do that, then a number of errors occur on the front end: (Palletes Gray Light or Purple BOTH cause similar errors)
ERROR A:- The Drop down munus are not visible. Sometimes they appear but are hidden behind the t4main body. and sometimes they don't appear at all - see link TestPage (without logging in) and link to JomSocial.
ERROR B:- On a small screen (mobile) the collapse buttons in the header which trigger the side menu AND the Drop down menu DO NOT WORK. (This looks like some script error which I do not know how to fix)
ERROR C: If you login as a jomsocial user, the menubar at the top of jomsocial pages disappears. Its the whole menu bar (home, profile, groups, events etc). The whole bar is missing. But it appears on smaller screens.
Errors are NOT caused by Jomsocial. In my demo there is a jomsocial link PLUS a link to a default joomla page. Both show the errors. The above errors are caused by the changing in Pallete in Admin. The rest of the site, using default pallete is working fine.
To test the pallete, I created a copy of the template and layout ja_educatsy - social-default and assigned this to the 2 menu links TestPage and Jomsocial.
login as test user in front end (jomsocial user) username: testuser pw: q123456
All of a sudden the top menu items strated to disappear on clicking. So I did another test. The link used was to standard joomla article with no other components or modules on the page. Opened site with the page mysite/testpage in Google Chrome. Clicked h12 to see console. Clicked h5 to reload. Got these js errors:

-------------------------------------more problems. But this time they don't seem to be related to the change in masthead.
I just went to the top menu and just clicking on the links 'pages/otherpages /search' or 'smart search' , again causes the mega menu to malfunction. The top menu items begin to disappear randomly every time you click any one of them. They just disappear. Only when I click home page, then they return.
To be honest, I had a similar problem with the JA Justitia template a while back as well. Again the megamnu items would randomly disappear on clicking and pages would freeze.
here are the errors on the Search link page:
...and when I clicked on the 'Pages' in the top menu, it disappeared. Please see next image:
I tried again. Error occured on search page link. This time I clicked 'Pages' and the 'Course Categories' link disappeared. Please see next image:
Not sure if this helps, but all the js error files (in red) seem to be in the folder media/t4/optimize/js
