Win8.1/Firefox - Mouse click on menu button has no effect

Hello,

On the demo site for the "GK Writer" template I ran into a (somehow strange) problem with the side menu. Touching the button with the mouse makes it change from 3 points to 3 lines, so far so good. But clicking it has no effect, the menu doesn't open.

I noticed this behaviour on a Windows 8.1 PC with Firefox (latest version 61.0.1). On the same PC, it works as it should when I use Internet Explorer. Also quite puzzling: Although the mouse click doesn't work on Win8.1/Firefox, clicking it via touch screen does ...

(I also checked the menu on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox, Chrome and Edge and on my Android phone - no problems there.)

Any ideas?

I tested GK Writer demo site on Window 8.1 with Firefox 61.0.1 and its showing the menu fine.
Take a look on my screenshot here : http://prntscr.com/k7dzgi
I suggest you to disable browser extension if any active and clear browser cache.
Check the site again its working as expected.

Hello,

I'm not able to check Windows 8.1 PC, but the menu is fine on Windows 10 and iOS 10.13.6.
I'll ask our team, maybe someone is using Win 8.1.

Thank you for your replies!

I deactivated add-ons, restarted Firefox in safe mode and cleared the cache. Unfortunately it didn't help.

I installed Chrome and Vivaldi now and noticed the same strange behaviour there: Tipping the menu button on the touch screen opens the menu but clicking it with the mouse doesn't. Everything else works fine.

Only the Internet Explorer (11.0.9600.19036) opens it with both mouse click and finger tip on the screen ...

(Just to emphasise it: All this applies to Windows 8.1, I don't have this problem on my Windows 10 PC.)

I am not able to replicate the issue on Win8.1 Firefox latest version, can you check it on any other system?
Meanwhile i also shared it with team to look on it with win8.1 PCs.

I regret, it's the only Windows 8.1 system around, so I can't check it on another system.

What I noticed right now (seems to be new): When I click "Full-Screen Images In Post" (for example), the "Box" template opens instead, and the black template selection bar at the bottom of the page appears. At the same time the URL in the address bar says "https://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/writer/index.php/blog/single-article". This happens both on Win 8.1 and Win 10 and is not browser specific. It's the same in Firefox, Chrome or Edge. Don't know if this is a known bug.

Thanks for the information, I can see this issue - it's visible only on demo websites (template packages are fine), we'll fix it as soon as possible.
