Menu issues

I'm new to Joomlart switching from Shape5. I'm confused how to:
1. the HOME menu item at the top of the page appears to have a drop down. there's no sub-menu items so that should not be there.
2. There is a side bar menu icon and I have tried to unpublish or get rid of anything that would cause that icon (box with 3 lines in it) to appear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It relates to the template settings only.

1 - In backend >> Extensions >> Templates >> default style of JA Property >> Megamenu >> you set to show the submenu of the 'Home' menu item:

2 - It's off-canvas button, you can disable in Add-ons tab of template:
