Joomla 5.2.3 Compatibility for JA Templates, Bug Fixes, and More

I have witnessed something unusual.

When I update content (title, picture etc) in articles. The fitler does not display the changes. I noticed that the changes are shown only when I go to Component - MegaFilter then edit and save anything (like Root Category or Generate thumbnail) then the changes in articles suddenly appaer in front view.

I tried to edit this Crone Job - Time, changed it to 2 seconds, but it did not help

    Hi mdzida

When you save the filter or index the filter, the changes reflect well on frontend, it means that the filter is still working fine. I think the issue should relate to the cron url and your hosting, please contact your hosting provider for help to check if that cron can work well with your host or not.

Would make any difference if I use K2 items instead of Joomla articles for the filtered content?

      Hi mdzida

Which difference are you referring to here?

JA Megafilter also supports to filter K2 content so you can use it with K2.

Yes I know I can use K2. The thing is that as I mentioned, there is the problem with content updates that don't show up in front end.

I was thinking perhaps there is a chance that if I use K2 items instead of Joomla articles it would fix the problem?

mdzida As I mentioned above, it depends on how your hosting server handles the cron URL, it doesn't relate to the content source here. Is there any news from your hosting?

Hosting has fixed it, but only to the extent that the content changes appear in filers in front end after 5 minutes (due to cron settings)...

They said that the component producer would have to make the file - update changes automatically in filters right after the changes are made...

          Hi mdzida

It's the way this component works, you need to Index the filter to update the changes. That's why this component offers the cron job. If the cron works fine with the time you set in the server, it will update the change within that time.
