Smart Search not working, showing blank results

Smart Search is not working and I have no idea why. It never worked!
I actually get a "No results found!"
No matter what I type in the Smart Search bar it comes back and says "No results found!"

I have all the plugins activated
I indexed the pages correctly
module is published

You need to have a menu item type of Smart Search component to display the results.

I am getting some weird search results for K2 Items only and it seems to be coming from the content map. It looks like it is displaying the database values in the content map backend and in the the search results right on the front-end. Do you know hwy this is happening???
