JA ACM that comes with the template work well, as other template ACM are not built for every other template they required to make custom works, The doc you refer is only give option how it can work, In some case the template layout style is different with different css and js file that not allow to get same ACM file work in every template.
You need to make test with different code using inspect element tool to know which style is missing. If its animation it may not work on JA Space as the js code is defined in the JA Uber depends on the module used.
