Adjusting image size to reduce zoom

I'm using News Show Pro GK5 with K2 to display information about some programs at our club. The image that is displayed for the K2 Item is zoomed in so that it doesn't all fit into the space that is allocated for the image so it doesn't look very good. As an example, if you go to http://dev2.mintoskatingclub.com/ on the left hand side there is a Skating Program for Summer Camp (yellow and red). Is there a setting that determines how much the image is zoomed? I've tried adjusting various parameters in the K2 item and in the module but I can't find anything to change the size. Can anyone tell me what parameter will allow me to make the whole image fit into the space available?

Hi,

As I can see the source K2 image size is very small: http://dev2.mintoskatingclub.com/index.php/component/k2/item/1325-parent-and-tot

Then News Show Pro takes this image and crop it to size specified in module settings -> thumbnails tab -> Thumbnails dimensions, but the source image is small, so it doesn't look good.

Try to use bigger K2 item images or adjust module thumbnails settings ( try to change Image auto-scale, Keep aspect ratio options etc.)

Thanks for the response Joshua but I'm not sure I'm following you.
The image on http://dev2.mintoskatingclub.com/index.php/component/k2/item/1325-parent-and-tot is 600x900 pixels.
The image on http://dev2.mintoskatingclub.com/index.php/component/k2/item/1328-minto-summer-figure-skating-camp-2018 is 454x183.
600x900 is much bigger than the space allocated in the News Show Pro module but the image displayed is very small.
454x183 is just slightly smaller than the space available but it is zoomed in and scaled up.

In the module's Thumbnails tab, Image auto-scale is ON but whenever I set Keep aspect ratio "ON" and save, Keep aspect ratio returns to the Off position.

Changing Thumbnail dimensions as no effect on the image sizes.
Changing Links thumbnail dimensions has no effect on the image sizes.

Part of the problem seems to have been the cache time. I've set the Thumbnail cache time to zero so that when I make changes, I actually see the results.

To get the desired result where the full image is displayed, I have the following settings:

Basic Settings:
Module Mode: Standard mode

Thumbnails
Responsive images: ON
Create thumbnails: ON
Image auto-scale: OFF
Keep aspect ratio: OFF (couldn't set it on but doesn't seem to be a problem)

Hi,
The image may be a bigger i.e. 600 x 900 but it's in another ratio, that's the problem, so did you solve the issue with provided thumbnails settings?

Yes. By using the settings I described above, I was able to get what I was trying to acheive.
