Jomsocial Events with link to an online event, not to a physical address

Hello. When I create an event in jomsocial, it requires the address or venue. That value is linked to google maps. I would like to use this field to include a link to my event, which will be held in zoom, streamyard, gotomeetings, or something like that. No need for a venue. ¿How can I change this to have my events linked to online locations?

JomSocial events work for its own system only. There is no integration with zoom for the events meet. You can add the details of your meetings in the description of event as it support more text with links.

Ninja I want no integration. I just want to be able to publish an event without a venue. It will not allow me to save the event without and address, and I have no address. How can I bypass this?

Pankaj, Is there a way to do that? Create and event without a venue? Or use the venue field without it being linked to google maps?

Hello. I really need help on this. Need to create events without adding a venue address, or being able to insert a web link that will not be forwarded to google maps.

Have been inside there today. There is a lot of google maps integration. But physical event venues are not very likely to be used this days around here. We need plain links to send people to the event app of our events. Please advice on how to override the maps link.

I am looking to solve this as well. I am about to add a calendar with my live stream events and would love for people to be taken to the streaming website instead of google maps, or maybe remove that part entirely?

Location is fixed for the events and must be filled up. I asked dev team for this customization if there is any easy way to remove this part, we will update you here.

At the moment team is busy on urgent bug fixes and its in queue. Because it must be added in event its not easy just to remove the code as entry also required in DB when event save. I will update you once i get information from dev team.
