content slider story it does not pop up

I have the content slider on the side position of the home page when you click on the story it does not pop up it goes back to the homepage what do I need to do to get the story in the content slider to open up.

You mean it should open in a popup window or in detailed page of article?

I guess articles in this slider are not being assigned to any menu item so that they open on homepage. You can create a new menu item and assign these articles (or category these articles belong to) to this new menu item. It will redirect to detailed page.
