Cannot update any JoomlaBamboo components or plugins

Hi. I just renewed my JoomlaBamboo subscription with the intention of updating the various websites that I have that use your products.

Nothting will update through the update manager.

Error updating COM_INSTALLER_TYPE_TYPE_.

I am on CentOS 7 with Joomla 3.8.10. PHP 7.1, various servers, all experience exactly the same failure.

Get this message when trying to update each of the following. What is to be done?

JB ZenTools Module
T3 System Plugin
T3 System Plugin
Zensocial Module
Zentools Module

For what its worth, I am able to update other extensions, including JCE Pro, AdminTools, and Akeeba Back, and system extensions like Spanish, and core Joomla, through the update manager.

And when I spefically try and update ZenTools the update fails with a different message:

Update: :Extension: Could not open http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j30/mod_zentools.xml
Error
Invalid extension update

Updating via the Joomla installer will work for you

It won't erase anything as long as you have not edited any files directly

With updating the template I'd suggest doing a backup first

Thanks. I was able to update Zentools and Zensocial via that method. Two remaining questions.

1) I was able to update the T3 System Plugin to version 2.7.1. Joomla is still asking to update to T3 version 2.7.2 and I do not see that on your website. Where can I find that?

2) I am hesitant to update the JB NewLifestyle Template. If I update will my template manager settings be overwritten, and will I loose my highly customiex custom.css? Or will the update leave these in place as is? I have a backup but would prefer not to do the update if it is going to mess up the customizations, as restore is a chore.

You will be fine with T3 2.7.1 - looking at the JB downloads it isn't actually available

Moving on to question 2.

Updating the template won't affect the settings or the custom.css you've created
The only problem would be if you edited other files directly - any of these changes would be lost

I would always however suggest using a backup extension like akeeba backup pro prior to any template update

Using the pro version has a restore backup option which is more user friendly than doing it manually
