Keep side menu expanded?

The side menu is vertical, with little > signs to indicate a drop down. I don't want them to drop down, I want them to remain expanded. Is there a module suffix or something I can use to do that?

The off canvas sidebar does not always show, It only open when you press the menu icon. There is no such module suffix present to add it.

Thank you but I'm not meaning the off canvas menu. Let's say "vertical menu" instead, for clarity. I have a vertical menu with subordinate menu items. When I click the parent menu item, the sub items will appear. But I want them to always be visible without having to click on the parent. How do I make that happen? Thank you.

To be clear, I do have "Show Submenu Items" set to Yes. In another template (not Joomlart) it shows in what I'm learning is called "tree" mode. But in JA_Landscape it doesn't show the submenu items until the parent menu item is clicked on. I want a vertical menu that looks like this

Main item
     Subordinate item
     Another Subordinate item
Another Main item
     Subordinate item to another main item

etc.

I click on "church budgeting" and it indicates there is additional sub-menu items with the little arrow. If I click it again I get the sub items to show. If I click on any item, the subitems disappear.

I want the subitems to always show. Thank you for looking at this.

Can you turn off the css compression from template style options. So i can check the code is added or not.

I had removed it when it didn't do anything. I also tried some variations of what I see you were trying to do, so another reason to remove it. I have now put it back and turned off "css optimization," which is what I think you meant. Let me know if there is an actually css compression somewhere else that you meant? Thanks for your help.
