Megamenu on T4
pastoweb
Hi
Do you have custom changes in the T4 template as the layout different it should load mainnav block http://prntscr.com/ztv2ms
instead of element. Also disable t3 framework, The T4 template should like this https://t4-framework.demo.joomlart.com/index.php
- Edited
The setting is exactly like your screenshot, I don't have any core customization in the T4 blank template
I uninstalled and reinstalled T4 plugin and blank template, but still not working
I also deactivated T3 but megamenu doesn't appear
Finally, I notice that having two different style, any change to the layout settings are reflected in both styles. Is it correct? In T3 I was able to have different layout settings among template styles

I compared the html structure with a working T4 website, and see in my case it's not creating the megamenu tags and classes.
What could be breaking it?
On the same website with a T3 template megamenu works fine
Here you can see stark template without any modification: https://testsite.formalms.org/
Here is purity iii: https://blog.testsite.formalms.org/ (the "post here" menu item ha dropdowns)
It is the same website with a multi domain configuration

Hi
Since the Changes are moved to new template stark the style will be changed for main nav.
Kindly upgrade the user permission to super user level for staff.
+ Disable all type of cache as your site frontend showing JA Stark template used but its not assigned to any page http://prntscr.com/zx7a1d
If you have CDN cache enabled kindly disable them.
Thanks, I upgraded to super user your permissions.
System cache is disabled
Tryed to assign Stark to the home page, and set it as default template but the problem persists
Thanks for your support
The point is that on the same site Purity template (T3) is correctly loading the megamenu
I think too there must be some conflict, but I already disabled most of the frontend extensions, and also uninstalled the T3 framework, but still it is not loading
Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Ok got it, is is a Community Builder plugin named "cbpaidsubsbot": if I disable it megamenu works again
I disabled most of the other third party extensions, but it seems the problem is with this specific item
Let me know if you have any hint about this, in the meantime I'll ask the CB team too
After further investigations I found the issue is related to the CBSubs Content plugin, that acts on the onAfterDispatch joomla event
Now I don't know what to do next...
Here is the discussion with the CB developers: https://www.joomlapolis.com/forum/255-developer-members-support/243604-issue-with-joomlart-t4-templates-and-cbpaidsubsbot#323327

Hi
I created a ticket for our development team to have a look on it. At the moment the cb plugin seems override the menu settings and breaking it.
Update : Your site access is not longer working, we need the site login to check it further, Kindly edit fields in first post, submit super user login and FTP details.

Sorry, I had to reset the testisite db, now your access is fixed
Thanks for looking into it
More precisely, the issue is into the CBSubs Content, wich is an internal CB plugin related to cbpaidsubsbot
I also did a test installation of a Helix template, wich uses megamenu too, and it works fine with CB: maybe you could compare their solution to investigate further and fix the issue (I would like to stick to T4)

Hi, do you have any news on this? I need to upgrade my project, if this won't work with my other components I'll have to switch to another framework...

Hi there, sorry but I can't wait further, I need to start working on my website restyling so I moved stark template here: https://docs.testsite.formalms.org/
Same admin access (it's a multisite installation), it will remain accessible for you to work on it for a few days.
In the meantime I will start playing with the Helix framework
I also disabled debug and error reporting, feel free to turn them on if you need to work on it
