Dear JS team,

  • latest version of ffmpeg is installed on our server, and it works without problems
  • cronjob also works
  • PHP settings should be ok (see attachment)
  • Video settings in JS should be ok (see attachment)

However, video upload only works if video file is under 256MB. Any attempt to upload a file bigger than that, results in error message displayed in the share box (see attachment). The video file cannot be uploaded.

The technicians at the hosting company checked it and said, that there is no upload limitations on server side. PHP and cron settings are ok.

So, I wonder where the limitation comes from. Is there any upload limits set by Jomsocial? And if so, how can I change them?

Please help

After installing this package, status box was gone (See below).

Further issues: JS dashboard displayed "most recent" with html tags, frontpage layout errors

Clearing cache didn't help. Installing official release 4.7.8 over this package didn't bring back the status box. So, I had to roll back the whole site.

    Cheers
    S.

      Hi
You have to clear the browser cache after update.
Can you make a test site on which we can check the problem with new package?

        Ninja

        Dear Pankaj,

        I created a new subdomain:

        www.testbed.educities.eu

Then replicated the original site in this domain.

How to send you the login details?

          Ninja

Ok, added login details for the test site in "fields" header of this discussion topic.

          Regards
          S.

            Dear Pankaj,

I loaded the community site in 4 different browsers, but the status box didn't show up.
Cleared browser and Joomla cache, none of which did the trick.

So, I wonder how you managed to make the status box appear.

Web developer tools indicate, that files related to the status box can't be found / loaded (404 errors). See below:

            Regards
            S.

              Dear manhta,

              the status box is back.
Upload limit for videos has been gone.

However, getting a request timeout whenever uploading a video file larger than 256MB.

From the PHP settings attached earlier you can see, that
              max_execution_time is 9000,
              php_value max_input_time 900.

So I wonder why uploads stop at 30 seconds.

                Dear manhta,

latest fix did the trick. All error messages have been gone, and upload of large video files works like a charm.

                THANKS SO MUCH !!!

There's only one thing remaining: JS Dashboard (backend) now displays "most recent activities" with html / php tags. See attachment.

                Please fix.

                Regards
                S.
