When I do a standard, out of the box installation of the Page Builder I get terribly poor results for mobile when running it through Google's Page Speed Insights

I also get some very poor results when testing it at GTMetrix

why wouldn't Joomlart pay particular attention to providing the best possible SEO conditions for your developments?

    Hi cspgsl

As I can see that you're loading some images from our demo server which are quite heavy so it will affect the loading speed. Please try to replace with your own images.

And in template settings, try to enable CSS Optimize option.

I will also report to the team for further checking on T4 Builder layouts.

    Regards

My question is, why shouldn't the out of the box installation be the best SEO version with which we can work? If it is very good to start with then it would be up to the developer to keep it in good condition when building the site.

If I have to start out with a design that already fails Google's Page Speed standards, I have to fix it in order to have a website that will work for my client.

I don't think that is right as Joomlart is supposed to be a very high quality advanced template supplier. You are failing to provide the best service to your clients.

I have disabled all images, removed all content that wasn't related to the page builder menu items, enabled CSS and JSS Optimize options in the template. Enabled GZIP compression but yet the stripped down version of the page builder version is still very poor for mobile and only acceptable for desktop

The following measurements are all just under 9 seconds which is extremely harmful to page results.

    Speed Index
    Largest Contentful Paint
    Time to Interactive

      Hi cspgsl

I understand. I've already reported to T4 team for further checking on this.

This is very disappointing to hear. SEO should be considered from the beginning, not an afterthought.
This makes me question whether the T4 template is the best choice?

        Hi canadaeh

It's about T4 Builder, not T4 templates, these are different products. About the SEO, there are many aspects affect the performance. In some of the bundles of T4 Builder, we are optimizing sample images better size and depends on the Joomla template you're using, pls enable the CSS/JS optimization. If your template doesn't have this option, pls consider to use a 3rd party for optimize css/js like jch optimize extension.

        Regards
