Child theme not working

Hi.

Question about gk-portfolio.
Newest Updates of theme and wp.

If i create a (basic) child theme and activate it, than the images (thumbnails) are not visible at the index-page.
You just see the preloader-circle.

If i hover one of these blog-entry-images, it appears.

I use localhost at the moment.

Maybe you can explain how to install a basic working child-theme which is also working with gk-portfolio?

As I wrote: its on localhost (WAMMP).
Its the newest version of your theme and a basic child-theme like https://childtheme-generator.com/parent-child/GK+Portfolio/gk-portfolio

Its local made with Wammp (localhost). Cannot share login. You should have the same issue because i simply use the newest version of Gk-portfolio (and WP 5.7) and i just made a basic child-theme like this https://childtheme-generator.com/parent-child/GK+Portfolio/gk-portfolio

I didnt add anything to the child-theme yet.
