Reducing Space Around Banners

I use Banners on my site, and want to reduce the amount of buffering space between Banners, which is usually diagonal lines. I want to make the Banners closer so I can get more banners on a section. I am attaching an image, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You can override this code in custom css to change the BG and reduce the padding space

.t3-sidebar .bannergroup {
    background: url(../images/mod-pattern.png);
    padding: 23px;
 }

Thank you; I added that custom code and changed 23px to 10px but haven't seen a change.

Kindly check the code you added missing the dot at first. Use the same code i shared including DOT .

Thank you; I did now add the "dot" but still not seeing the padding decrease after I set it to 10.
