i've noticed that on the JA Mega Filter component, the articles don't seem to be listed in date order. rather they are listed according to article ID...
how can i change this?

In the configuration of the filter, you can select a field to sort articles by default:
I've done that but it still doesn't seem to reorder the items accordingly...

As I can see that this filter page is showing articles sorted by created date correctly now, could you check again?
It's not. Look at the dates going left to right... They read: 16/05 14/05 10/15 13/05 12/05 11/05
So the 10/05 one is in the incorrect order...
Maybe cache on your server side? as it looks correctly now:
