I don't see any module in 'grid5' position so I created a custom HTML module to this position and assign to 'Home' page on your site, you should see it now
For the tab in 'grid8', I can see the image + title of each article now.
I have defined a "Mainpage Slideshow Banner" but it's not showing at all.

For the slideshow in 'banner' position, in the 'Layout' tab of Zentools module, you need to drap&drop the image + title so it can display on frontend:
