t3-assets/js is filling the disk

This folder weights around 9GB of space. We've removed some js files, and it fills again. We recently updated the t3 system plugin to the latest version and we are also using the latest joomla version (updated 3 weeks ago).

We're thinking about having a cron task to delete 2 hours old files, but I would prefer to find a better solution.

Could anyone let me know how to fix this?

It should not be so huge size as it's only used to cache the files of css, js and less.
When dev mod is off it only cache css css and js in compression mode.
Kindly check this folder should not have any php file . You can also clear the complete folder and it will cache the file again.

Do not apply any css change on this folder. It is temp folder used to cache file for faster loading.
