JTicketing Overrides

Hello,

I am developing an Events site and using JA Events II and JTicketing. I am getting the errors shown in the screenshots below.

When I publish the JTicketing Module to the "My Events" Menu Page I get a "Too Few Arguments" Error.

When I publish the same module to the "All Events" Menu Page I get the following error.

I have asked the JTicketing developers TechJoomla about this and they say it is caused by html overrides in com_jticketing. (The path is root directory => templates => active template i.e, ja_events_ii => html =>com_jticketing). Renaming the folder solves the problem.

My questions are:

Since neither myself or Techjoomla created them, are these overrides part of your customization of the template for use with JTicketing?
If so, what are they supposed to do and will they be of benefit to me going forward?
Assuming the two thing above are true, or even if they are not, is there a way to solve the issues from the error codes without removing the overrides?
Am I on the wrong track completely and what is the best solution that you can suggest?

I need to complete this site soon and have wasted a lot of time on this.

JA Events II template also has override for JTicketing extension, you can find here:

/templates/ja_events_ii/html/com_jticketing/
/templates/ja_events_ii/html/mod_jticketing_calendar/
/templates/ja_events_ii/html/mod_jticketing_event/

It looks like you're using newer version of JTicketing than the version this template supports so it caused the conflict.

Could you share the installation package of this new version to email: sales@joomlart.com ? I will debug in my local and see what's wrong here.

Hi,

I updated the fix into your site, below are the changes:

1 - Update the css file: /templates/ja_events_ii/css/extras/com_jticketing.css

2 - Rename these folders:

templates/ja_events_ii/html/com_jticketing
templates/ja_events_ii/html/mod_jticketing_calendar
templates/ja_events_ii/html/mod_jticketing_event

Kindly check it now.

I really appreciate this. The issues seem to be resolved. I will let you know As usual, i have a couple of questions.

The site you fixed is my developmental site that i use to test changes. How can I make the changes to com_jticketing.css on the actual site? ( I can rename the folders).
By renaming the folders, have you abandoned the changes that the overrides made completely or have you included them in the css changes?
Will the changes to com_jticketing.css be over-written in future updates?

1 - We always recommend to add the custom CSS code into the custom.css file of template: /templates/ja_events_ii/css/custom.css (Create this file if it doesn't exist) so that your custom code will not be affected when updating template / component.

2 - We decided to remove the override for the layout as it takes time to update when new version of JTicketing released. The template now will not override the layout but customize the style via that css file, it will be easier for you when updating new version of JTicketing as no need to care about the layout conflict.

3 - Yes, it will be overwritten, I recommend point #1 above.

What I was actually asking is if you could detail the CSS changes you made to the site so I can add them to the custom css on the other site.

I have another issue that I am hoping I can just address here without starting a new discussion.

In going thru the order processing section I have noted the payment gateways that are available. Whereas we can use Paypal for our transactions we would like to integrate a gateway that allows us to use local currency and multiple currencies seamlessly.

We want to use an API provided by First Atlantic Commerce....see link https://firstatlanticcommerce.com/resources/integrationguides/ We would like to use the "FACPG2 v1.11 Hosted Page Implementation" which can be downloaded from this page (I tried to attach it but the file is too big).

Would you be able to do this integration as a custom job and at what cost?

Also how soon (ballpark time) would you be able to deliver this.

We modified / updated new code for that /templates/ja_events_ii/css/extras/com_jticketing.css file, you can compare with original file to see the changes. I recommend to replace above file instead of 'custom.css' file - the custom.css file is used for custom changes only.
