need some development work to upgrade site compliance to PHP 7.4

I have a few Joomlart sites on Siteground. They are updating to PHP 7.4 on June 21 and my sites need a little PHP work to bring them up to compliance. I have tried contacting joomlart to arrange for some paid development assistance to accomplish this, but have not had a response. I would prefer someone from joomlart to do this if possible rather than a 3rd party developer, but I guess it doesn't matter either way. How can I arrange for someone from joomlart to contact me to arrange a quotation please? thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Perhaps this is relatively straightforward and I don't need a PHP guru. That would be great if I can sort it out myself with assistance here.

So the three websites are
lastek.com.au
lasersafetyaustralia.com.au
amesphotonics.com

PHP7.4 compliance can be checked by using this url. replace your-domain.com with above urls.
your-domain.com/.well-known/sg-php-try-v74

The first one brings up a line of PHP error code when I use that url to check.
The second and third are completely broke.

Joomlart templates are
lastek: JA Mags II
lasersafetyaustralia: JA Minisite
amesphotonics: JA Minisite

probably JA Minisite is now out of date I guess?? I need to update template?

If you can recommend a course of action, that would be much appreciated.

In regards to the second and third sites above, I have neglected updates for a while so things are a bit of a mess.

I've tried to install latest version of JA Minisite but it just spins and goes to error code 500 .

Both sites are running on a very old PHP 5.6, which I put off sorting out ages ago and never got back to fixing. When I updated to more recent PHP it brought up error codes, so I just left it. Obviously that's bad. :-).

So, the lastek.com.au site should, I guess, be straightforward to sort out the PHP compliance, but I am going to need some more detailed assistance on the other two sites to bring them up to scratch.

Can you help? Or can I purchase some help, or? Help please!

JA Magz ii latest version should work with PHP 7.4 and PHP 8 as well.
For Minisite its very old template and not much user active on this as its on older framework. I will check if there is plan to update this, otherwise i suggest you to move on new template as this is on old framework version 2 as well and that may not be updated for Joomla 4 in future.

Thank you for this reply. It would be good if there was an update to Minisite, though if not I understand.

I'm happy enough to move to another template, except in my experience there is always a lot of things to fix. But hopefully its not too bad, and I should have done it years ago anyway.

But yes, if there is an update to Minisite, that would be great and my preference.

Hi,

I updated the lastek.com.au to the latest version of JA Magz ii. When I run the PHP7.4 compatibility test, I get the same error line coming up:
Deprecated: Function get_magic_quotes_gpc() is deprecated in /home/customer/www/lastek.com.au/public_html/libraries/f0f/input/input.php on line 102

How can i deal with this please?

I've sorted out the two sites with Minisite template. Both are working fine, and work fine under PHP7.4.

So no further action required there.

So just the error line showing up for the lastek.com.au site is my only outstanding issue now today.

It's just warning kindly set the error report to None in Joomla and it does not make any issue in working of site.
