One of the most frustrating aspects of using templates and such are the unexpected hassles of customizing the most common elements of the interface to make the site your own. Most users probably want to put their own text where the Frontpage paragraph is, and it might be expected that it would require only something simple like editing an article to do that. Instead, you have to search through the forums, dig through hundreds of lines of code and still won't be able to change the text.

Please make these commonly-desired tasks simpler to accomplish.

    Hi
You can edit any Jomsocial text include that frontpage paragraph from this file /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini
Or make an override via Joomla language override options.

    Thanks, that did the job.

I still think that it would be helpful to make an effort to better document how to accomplish the commonly-desired customizations on the home page. While trying to figure this out, I ran Google searches that gave me a half-dozen answers that didn't work. A lot of time could be saved.
