Seems, that a few of our courses have been able to be used not only by us, but students as well.
Have created a short illustration to explain what exactly is going on within our courses.

Hi. I have gone through the video.
One part I need details are how student know the course url seems customer url created by you and enrollment. If a course is free for a course member , other members will need to pay amount for it kindly send me course url on which the issue present and user need to click on take this course to see the working.
If you are using a custom back kindly share the url and also let ke know if you applied custom hack in guru.

No custom hack was created..
Simply added some re-directs within Akeeba Admin Tools.
Assuming the "This course is free for Members" of certain groups was enabled, the "/XXXX" should have only worked for selected members of the ACL groups assigned to the free for members of certain groups. Yet that is not the case..

All of the courses in this image are having issues..
As even if a user isn't assigned to the group, they are still able to enroll.

Its every course under the 1-on-1 category.
The link is https://website/courses/4-1-on-1
Every course you can go though and if you enter the enroll after the course link; such as the first one for instance;

https://website.com/courses/4-1-on-1/68-writing-with-grammar-lynn
then add the enroll afterwards, you will be automatically enrolled...
But you will have to register on the website first...

It appear issue with ACL.
Kindly add an access level for the new group as well
For example i added a user test / test you can try this .
It does not have a registered user access and it using a custom level as you created you need to setup its access level now as it is not under registered.

We used PWTACL to help with the grouping and permissions, just to be certain it wasn't anything on our end.
Nevertheless, I went ahead and used everything you said and tested.
It appears to be an issue.
As even when the free for members is unchecked, students can still enroll.
I tried caching, etc.. but nothing.. what am I doing incorrectly>

Even disabled some extensions, but nothing changed; so hopefully you can find the issue..

The site link you shared is a zip, did you tested the Guru version i sent on your testing website and checked if still there is issue ?

Yes, I made a backup before installing the dev version@pankaj#156584
I didn't send you that backup; as I figured you made need to adjust the dev version; since it didn't work.
I disabled a course "free for members" of every acl group, but was still able to log and enroll with the same steps previously mentioned...

Do I need to reinstall the older backup or is it okay to leave it the way it is with the current dev install.guru installed on our website?

Do you want the newest backup or is the one previously sent to you okay for testing?

I do not understand your last reply.
Please follow this :
1. Take a full backup of website or make a staging site.
2. Install Guru package i sent to you in previous reply
3. Setup the ACL as i asked to do.
4. Buy a course with new student and check.

If issue remain same you can send the login of staging site in edit fields. So we can disabled 3rd party extensions as you have many extensions with ACL overrides, we will disable them and check.

You didn't mention to use a test site, you said it was an option.
As I don't have access to setup a test site.
So I uploaded the file you mentioned after backing up my site in case it crashed i believed.
It didn't crash, but didn't resolve the issue.

If you can please take my backup that I sent to you and try yourself.
You will see the patch doesn't work, sadly.

I did everything you just mentioned;

Still had issue, but again I didn't use a test site, I just uploaded to the main site assuming what you sent me would work and also because I do not have access to setup a test site.

Would you mind taking the backup I sent you in a link previously and seeing if you can find the issue, please?

Should I also take the backup I created prior to uploading that dev file and restore my website to its orignal form or will it be okay with the dev installed on the working live site?

Thanks Ninja; as @emperor mentioned it works properly.
The only thing that would be nice is to know the where "error" language is located.
As we like to change the language to something Chinese.
Perhaps say something like please click to purchase, etc etc..
