Can't assign color themes to pages

I do not want the entire site be set to one color, I have several sections which are in different colors. I set layouts, color themes and palettes for three different colors so far, and the whole site is in the last saved color, regardless of what color is assigned to the menu items in "Menu Assigment"

I also set all elements in Layouts Settings for the right color palette for each of those three colors (black, green, red), but the whole site (all pages) are in the color scheme that was saved last.

Also - as I indicated before - I did try copying the template and renaming them Black, Green and Red and assigning pages from within those clones, but only one can be "default" template. The different colors on different pages still don't work. I have no idea how to set them right.

Sure, I made a sample by setup a template for 'Homepage' and use default style for all other pages.

1 - In Backend >> Extensions >> Templates > duplicate the current style of T4 Blank template: 'T4 Template Blank - Dafault'

And you have a new style >> rename it as 'T4 Template Blank - Home'

2 - Open the new style >>

Overview tab: you can rename here
Site settings + Navigation tabs: you can change or use the same settings as 'default' style
Theme Color: this is important, if you want to use another color, switch to another theme color. In this case, I use 'Greencolor' for sample

Layouts Settings: also switch to another layout:

Pls note that, if you don't switch to another layout / theme /... when you make changes, it will affect to all other template styles which use the same layout / theme / ...

Menu assignment: just assign to any page that you want to have this style, in this case, I assigned to 'Home' menu item page. Now, when you access Homepage of your site, it will have green color theme now, other pages still have red theme.

I thought the problems are over, but they are not.

Green layout, green Color theme and the template seem to be OK. They are set the same way the Red template, layout and paltte are set. Yet, whie the red template looks OK, the green does not.

I have one more question:
The article tittles, module titles (H1- H5), etc. need to be in the same, theme color. How can it be set?

One more question:

Is there a way to assign pages to style in some sort of a batch action? Like selecting all menu items belonging to a certain root menu item, and assigning them all at once? In my case, it is a few thousand menu items. The Green style - which is the "guide" - there are come 1,200 articles/menu items/pages.

Aso:
Selecting the style within the "Menus: Edit Item" does not change the corresponding item in Menu Assigment in the template.

Unfortunately, Joomla doesn't support that kind of batch action to assign template style to specific group of menu items, you need to assign it manually.

May I know which menu item that you assign a template style to it but not reflect changes on frontend? I will check for you.

I was probably successful in assignnig colors to sections - I will still keep trying options to see and understand the structure better. T4 is really a remarkable approach to template building and it offers endless possibilities, though it takes some serious learning how it works. It is hardly an easy tool for beginners or people with very basic understanding of template creation. It is not a quick solution, especially if one wants to build a site from scratch and without ready templates.

Yes, in Palletes section, you can easily create / edit / delete any pallete

Well I know that, but this is not what I meant. I wanted to know if (for example) removing the red pallete from Green and Black templates will also remove that (red) palette from the Red Template? Which I wouldn't want to happen. I know, I can always experiment and see if that is the case.

Also, please see if you can help with the problem of modules not displaying anywhere. I treid many modules and all existing positions and they do not show.

Hi peterpeter

It depends on the layout settings of a template style. You can decide which section of template style will use which pallete.

For example, kindly check the Green template style, in each section, you have option to change the Pallete and you can simply change it there.
