Not able to edit modules through the edit button on Home page

Hi Community,

I have JA Resume and JA Brisk on 2 different domains currently exhibiting the same problem. I cannot seem To be able to edit the modules from the home page.

I can when I am on any other page in either domain.
Googled and could not find much help other than scrolling right to bottom and making sure they aren't already checked out. No luck there.
Editing for same modules from admin is no problem

Any ideas?

Usually these template does not have component section on the Home Page.
When you edit a module that is assigned on the Home page it need Mainbody section.
Kindly open the layout option in the template make sure it has component block.
And you do not turned on skip component for Home Menu item.

Your correct it doesn't, Is it worth changing it (component block) or would that would destroy the original intent of the template designers?

Also your line

Do you mean
"Make sure skip component for home menu Items is turned off"?
In which case I cannot see a straight on off, just a drop down list of other menu items.

Yes, Basically the menu item should have component section in the layout to display the Mainbody output.
If a page has only modules on frontend without mainbody it means there is no block to display Menu output or edit module part.

Is there a tutorial you can recommend for this area - I feel my next few questions are probably self answerable with some reference doc or Video.
