Should subpages inherit the 'palette settings' from the main style? In my case the dark palette on the main layout (footnav) is not inherited on the subpages.
Unfortunately, the site is on localhost.

It depends on layout you select for subpage settings: Backend >> Extensions >> Templates >> Layout settings >> Subpage layout.
If it's the same with the main layout, it will inherit the same palettes.
