Could you share the URL of that filter page and admin account of your site so I can have a closer look?

also tell me which are 5,6,7 items.

I think I just realized that it sorts by the amount of values in this field, not by the values itself. if this could be changed, this would be great!

I'm not familiar with German on your site, could you tell me which field you're mentioning and which order you wish it should be?

I wrote it in the admin field:

The custom field with the numbers is ID 47.
if you filter for instance for "mathematik" and then sort for "Schulstufen", why is "class-ninjas" the last item?

I think it sorts by the number of checkboxes checked for each item. but it should sort by the value of the checkboxes, so all items that have the checkbox "5" checked first, than all with "6" and so on.

Does this make sense? I used checkboxes so that the editors can easily select for which class level the item is valid, but if there is a better custom field to make it sortable, I could change that

webfeuerflo if you filter for instance for "mathematik" and then sort for "Schulstufen", why is "class-ninjas" the last item?

Firstly, you set to filter by tag, so when select 'Mathematik' in the filter, it will show all items having this tag

And, it will list item by the ID of item in Articles list in backend.

And when you select to filter by range 'SCHULSTUFEN', for example, I select '5', it will filter the value from 5 to 13

All items match this condition will display, it not depend on the which value has '5' value to display first.

      I hope this makes sense.

ok, but how could I achieve this? the purpose of this filter is that it displays apps suited for various class levels, for instance some apps are suited for class 5, some for 5,6 & 7, some for 6 & 7 and so on.

do you have an idea how I can realize that? should I use different kind of custom fields?

It should list all apps for class 5 first, then the ones that start at 6,...

webfeuerflo Let me check with our developer if there could be a solution for this kind of sorting at this moment.

        23 days later

Did you ask the developer? Any idea how to achieve this sorting?

Hi webfeuerflo I'm afraid that there is no plan to implement that feature now. We're busy in upgrade Joomla 4 tasks. If you need it urgently, you can hide a developer to get it done for you.

          Regards
