Hello, I am long-term user of IJoomla Publisher (more than 10 years, I believe). Currently I am using version 3.0.16 and I wanted to update my license, it seems however you have lost my data, there is no indication in my profile that I have ever bought a product from you (and I have, a bunch, in the course of the years). Could you please check this and contact me under enev@gmx.de, so that we can resolve the matter quickly.

Thank you in advance,

Zlatko Enev, Berlin

    Zed19 Hi Zlatko Enev
Greetings. I've checked your account using the email you mentioned and found an Publisher membership linked to it back in 2013, it was the only purchase from this account.
As this Publisher membership has already expired a long time ago, you do not have access to download the product from our website anymore.

Right now you might consider getting an active membership a iJoomla page to be able to download the latest version of Publisher from our website.

OK, I bought the newest version, no questions asked. But, first, it produced a WALL of error messages by the installlation (funny enough, my Publisher version now is being shown as the newest, despite this). What is worse, this did not solve my real problem, the fact, that my system stopped making working links to my Publisher issues, something I have been doing for about 12 years now. So how do we proceed in this situation?

Is it safe to send you here my login data?

      Hi Zed19

You can edit Fields in the first post of this topic and share info there. Only Moderators can see it:

I gave you the login info, now about the problem. There are two, actually. First, the addon seems to not have been installed properly. The more serious problem is that, when you try to make a link to a Publisher Issue (to be found in the menu system under "Archive", it does not work anymore. Last month I was still able to do it manually, by simply copying an old link and replacing the ID, but even this would not work anymore. There is something seriously flawed in my system and it is above my paygrade.

        Zed19 Hi
Sorry for the issue. I checked your website about the errors the publisher component appear installed fine and there is no addons left that not installed on the submitted site.

About the Error in issue inside publisher can you provide the steps to replicate this problem as its not clear what you mean by adding link in the issue. Issues contains different items on Publisher backend and no archive option in that. You can also share the screenshot of problem in steps, this will give more clear details about the problem you are facing.

        Regards

        Hello, Pankaj,

here are the single steps involved in producing a Publisher issue on my site:

        1. Design -> Zones, create two zones, one for the lead articles and one for the body ones.
        1. Content -> Issues, create an issue, layout nr. 7, put the two zones in it, call it yyyy-nr.

        2. Menus -> archive, copy the last archive entry or create a new one, with "menu item type" = issue page, choose under options the Publisher issue you just created.

        3. Go to Content -> Articles, select category Archive (in Cyrrilc = Архив), open "2021", copy the upper table row and place as a new first row of the table.

        4. Put in that new row, on the left side, a graphic preview of the issue, on the right side write a first line with the name of the month, make it a link to the just created entry in the Archive menu. Below it write two or three article titles, not linked.

Included please find two pictures, number one with a working link, the second one with a non working one (note the different urls), number two does not contain an issue id, and even if I copy the working one and replace the issue id per hand, it does not work.

Possible hint at the problem: note the difference in issue ID numbering in the archive system. Earlier there were at least ten or more numbers of difference between the consequent IDs, e.g. 2021-06, ID = "2090", 2021-07, ID = "2101". Now, all of a sudden, they don't seem to increase and just produce IDs with consequent numbers (I produced three consequent ones for issue 2021-08, with IDs 2102, 2103, 2104, not one of them worked.

        Hope this helps.

          Hi
I got what you mean for links issue in articles. The JCE not showing them. And it's not clear as same is working in new installation.
Your site has 3rd party extension as well. Can you create a staging copy or allow me install akeeba backup and take backup of site for local installation for further debug.

About the manual link it will still work.

Akeeba backup is installed on the site. Please feel free to proceed as you find necessary.

            Hi
This appear JCE not detecting the URL as this URL linking is from the editor and its not in Publisher.
Publisher support Joomla menu system and routing.
I checked with Joomla menu URL rout and its working fine.
Here is way to link via Publisher and with Menu item.
In Editor you can see the icon Joomla click on it > Menu > link the text to Menu and it will use the same Menu url alias with SEF support here : http://prntscr.com/1mmury5
            It will solve the problem.

Hey, Pankaj, great work! Thank you one thousand times! Now I know what I spent 150 bucks on. 🙂

            Best,

            Zlatko
