Unable to adjust Subpage Layout

I'm having trouble getting my site's subpages to look different than the homepage. All my pages are using the "Main Layout" and are ignoring what is set on the "Subpage Layout."

I've checked the Joomla Menu Items and they are all 'Single Article' types that use the "t4_bs5_blank - Default" template style.

When I set the Main Layout to the value I'm trying to use for the Subpage Layout, the subpage looks correct, but then the homepage is incorrect.

When I set the template style on the menu item to Beez3, it works as expected.

I found a workaround and that's the duplicate the t4_bs5_blank template, so you have a different Template Style to choose from on the Menu Item, but then it defeats the purpose of having a configuration for the Subpage Layout

The idea of sub-layout is that it will be used for a page which can't be assigned to any menu item directly.

For example, you have a category blog page - it will use main layout. When you click an article, it will use sub-layout.

In your case, if each page on your site has type of 'Single Article', it will use main layout. You will need to duplicate template style and assign layout for each template style.
