Cannot access protected property Joomla\CMS\Menu\MenuItem::$params

I have recently updated to Joomla 4, including the recent versions of t4 blank and t4 bs5 blank templates, but I get this message.

/home/fwdcomp2/public_html/j3test/plugins/system/t4/themes/base/html/mod_menu/default_url.php (57)

I think it is a problem with the method of calling params.

The site works if I use the default Cassiopeia template

I can't replicate the same issue at my end in Joomla 4, could you share the super admin credentials of your site and URL of page where I can see this error?

I have been using Joomlart for a long time and have always been impressed with your quick response to problems. Thank you.

I did some google searching and found that params->get had been deprecated so changed the file as follows - line 57. It now works.

/** if ($item->params->get('menu_text', 1))*/
if ($item->getParams('menu_text', 1))

I have found that it is the same problem as I flagged in a previous post to saguaros so your core template files have not been updated. Please ask the team to do this.

Hello, sorry for digging this but is there any update about this issue?
I'm facing the same issue on Blockk template when i chose any other layour except the default.

haonas You can backup this folder: /plugins/system/t4/themes/base/html/mod_menu/

Download this zip file >> unzip >> and copy to above folder
