Where to put custom LESS file for this template?

I have used custom LESS files with older templates like Purity but I can't seem to get the my LESS file to compile in the JA Space template.

Do I place the LESS file here: templates/ja_space/local/less

Or here? : templates/ja_space/less/extras

It depends which file you used to override.
If the less file exist in the the default less folder the path will be same just need to be added in the local folder.

Further i do not suggest to override less, as there is custom.css file for override css changes, Less files are core and with time template updates these file comes with new fixes.

I would only use the local file to override the main LESS styles and then compile to CSS afterwards.

I find it much easier to work with LESS, the nesting making this much easier to structure the path.

I have had a break from T3 for a few years and I am finding things have changed a bit!

I note that if I add one LESS file called 'style.less' in the local/less folder and add all my style customisations to that, it works fine. This is how it worked about 4 years ago on T3.
