Timeline for update to 4

Not that you didn't know it was coming, nor didn't have time to plan for it, so besides the Joomla 4 Product Update page that has "planned" for the template update... what are we talking about, week, month, days to have the templates updated? and unlike your last template updates, can you make it so it doesn't overwrite the custom css file? again?

To be honest, there is not exact date for the release as it all depends on the testing & bug fixes when updating to Joomla 4. The team are working hard on this.

For the issue of override custom css file, could you tell me which template are you using so I can check?

saguaros I use several templates as I have been a member for over a decade. I see nothing on the blog which should in all honesty be updated every other day during this transition to 4.0.

How hard would it be for you guys to take an updated template and a quickstart and update to the 4.0 and see what works and what doesn't? every one of the extensions has a warning when updating. I have a very large Big Business template (three of them) that I do not want to have issues with.

Hi Jim,

Normally, the custom.css file will place in: /templates/your_template/css/ folder.

In new version of template, we don't include this custom.css file so your existing 'custom.css' file will not be replaced when updating template.

Before you update, you can check again by downloading the latest version of template manually >> unzip that file and see if the 'custom.css' file exist there or not.
