Points system -- allow users to give points to other users?

Is there any way to use the points system to enable users to give each other points? If, for example, someone helps you with a problem (good advice), you could award them points from a finite allotment you're given when you create your account, and maybe earn over time for helping others?

This could really help set my community apart from Facebook. Thoughts? I'm sure it's easier said than done, but is it something that COULD be done?

The points system only built of internal activities as community members do on the platform and not work to give someone points. You can check supported points system rules in Jomsocial configuration > Points.

Yes, I understand that's not a native thing I'm asking to do. I'm asking if it's possible, and whether you might be willing to consider it as a new feature.

Sorry it is not as new feature as this is more a personal work as not demanded by users yet. In future if there is huge demands for the same i will share it to dev team for future roadmap.
