I just shared the latest version of JA Social II template + JA Google Map plugin in this folder of your site: /public_html/new_update/

Pls backup your site and install these latest versions.

Please how do I bck up the site. I read through using Akeeba but understanding the complex of the version is challenging

I can't doing any update .. it keep asking me to subscribe. Please I need all this update. I can't find any Akeeba on the admin site to do the backup? Why is it so difficult to find how to do any thing?

You can not update via default Joomla update section, for new version of Jomsocial, pls download latest version of Jomsocial and install directly into your site.

With JA Social II template and JA Google map plugin, you can install the package I sent you.
