I have read about uploading videos, shared servers, and using Zencoder and Amazon S3.

I haven't been able to get it to work by following every step of the documentation.

Whether we use Amazon S3 and Zenconder or not, the video appears on the backed, and I can play it. However, the post with the video is never published.

What is the best and what can I do?

THANK YOU!

    Hi
The AWS setting is wrong on site for the region name. I just corrected them and also run the cron job that is required to push video for zencode conversion.
To see convert status, please login to your Zencoder account > Encoding Jobs

      Thanks!

Does the cron have to be run manually?

I have published another post with video and it is not published. The same thing happens.
It does not appear on AWS or Zencoder.

Attached capture of your video in Zencoder.

        Hi
You need to setup cron on server as in documentation. Once cron run it send the file for conversion and zencoder convert that first. As I checked the zencoder is not converting and failing that results this issue.
Also I run cron Manual as I found it's not setup by you to check the video conversion on zencoder.
Zencoder is 3rd party. If your server has good PHP values and support latest version of FFMPEG I suggest use that.
Local video uploads use server resources when use FFMPEG. About zencoder error kindly raise a support on zencoder desk as it's 3rd party platform to convert the videos and its paid as well.

          Hello there
I wrote to Zencoder as you told me, and they answer the following:

          Hi Armando,

Thank you for contacting Brightcove support. We hope you are doing well.

It would appear that the job was processing while Zencoder waited to retry uploading the output.

Unfortunately, this failed. As you can see from the error message:

"The upload has timed out. We retried the job three times, and it timed out all three times. This might indicate a misconfigured server, an invalid URL, or a temporary connectivity problem."

Our documentation is fairly terse on the matter:

          https://zencoder.support.brightcove.com/error-troubleshooting/error-codes/error-uploadtimeouterror.html

as it is mostly out of our side of things.

From here, I would suggest you check your S3 configuration to see what might have caused the failed upload.

If you have any follow up inquiries, please let me know.

          Thank you,
          Tom
          The Brightcove Team

I can't solve the problem. Sorry.

          Thanks

            Hi
The issue appear from the zencoder as it not converting and its 3rd party platform.
Kindly increase memory_limits value to 1024M and update JomSocial to latest version 4.8.0
Take backup of site before upgrade. The new version has some fixes for amazon S3.
