I have Jomsocial 4.7.8 and registration by invitation only was working properly before with Joomla registration disabled.
Recently, the invite friends option does not work anymore. When an invite is sent out and the invite link is clicked, instead of going to the registration page, it displays a login page and says that the user has to login first.
What happened?

Kindly set the page to Public as suggested in previous thread. See this is set to Registered so normal user can not view website http://prntscr.com/1vn3ogo

I can't make the community public because it defeats the purpose of making the site a private one and by invitation only. What is frustrating is that all of these were working before. I disabled Joomla registration because I wanted it to be by invitation only through Jomsocial and it was working. When i send an invitation through invite friends, it would arrive at the email I sent it to and when i click on it, it would go to the registration page. Everything was working fine before and now it's completely unusable!!!

Kindly check the same video the menu is not registered there it is Public.
Com_community is Jomsocial frontpage menu that user must be see to view the page. You can set the activity and module access to members only so it will not display anything. This is normal as frontpage is main page of JS that work for subpages.
I still can't make it work. I created a video and you can see that
1. User registration in Joomla is off.
2. User registration in Jomsocial is by invitation.
3. Jomsocial frontpage is set to Public.
4. Invite friend is sent successfully.
5. When invitation is clicked it gives an error that says "Registration is on invitation only. You cannot register without an invitation!"

How can this be? It is shown clearly in the video that a valid invitation was sent and clicked.
It is also confusing because in my other site at araltronix.com, it is working fine, and it is using Jomsocial 4.7.7 only.
Here at anacportal, i have gone from 4.7.7 to 4.7.8 and now 4.8.0 and it's still the same, NOT WORKING!!!!
Please advise.

No worries i am checking this with dev team member, Also you can use the latest version on website for Jomsocial. I put this on priority as well.
Is the latest version 4.8.0? I'm already using that. But same error.

Ah, yes, i reverted it back to 4.7.7 because it was the one that was working fine before. It's also the version that is working fine in our araltronix.com website. But as I mentioned in an earlier message, I tried moving it to 4.7.8 then to 4.8.0 but still the same error. I went back to 4.7.7. but the error is still there.

You can turn off plugin System - InviteX, then joms invite will work.
