Update on October 9:

Dear valued customers,

We are very sorry about the inconvenience you got with the JA Page builder in the last 3 days. We would like the give you the details of the issue and what we can do for you.

During the recent server update, the system admin accidentally deleted the JA Page Builder database without backup. And users could not edit pages or create new pages.

The server works now

You can create new page with the page builder and edit it with the builder tool. But with the pages you built before, you can not edit with the builder tool, you can edit the content in the database (recommended for developers - check the guide in the second section).

Important: Do not edit your pages you created before October 8th

Since the JA Page Builder database lost, your page structure stored in JA Page builder database can not be restored. When you edit the page you created before October 8th, you will see the blank page, do not save it, otherwise, your data will be lost.

Regards.

Would the installation of JA Page Builder cause this error?

Please try one of the following pages: Home

I click home and get the same error. A great big number 0 on the page.

I had your team do the quick install, which looks great, by the way! And then I added Akeeba and did the initial backup. Then I installed JA Page Builder.

Is the above error related to JA PB? If not, I'll post in the appropriate forum. I haven't installed any other modules yet after initial install of Joomla 4, JomSocial 4, and Flix template.

I was able to open JA Page Builder shortly after installing it, and I went back a few minutes ago, and this is what I see:

        Hi cityhomestead
This issue is not because of the server update, kindly submit a new support ticket for this, please provide your website info, our dev team will check and fix the issue for you.

        Regards.

Very funny when I finally got time to work on my web pages just to find the JA Page Builder gave me blank pages to stare at.

Will need the server back working ASAP, PLEASE? Thank you team.

chaoym - This is why I hesitate to set up pages instead of articles. If the page builder goes down, do the pages created with it also go down?

Is that what you're saying? You created some pages with the builder, and now that the builder isn't working, your pages quit working?

If so, then the pages are dependent on the builder. Which means I need to create articles as my pages instead.

cityhomestead Nope the pages are fine. It's that when I tried to do a "live edit" using JA Page Builder I got blank pages under the editing mode.

Do you have the estimated time when the server update will be complete, beacause since more than one day I can't update the content of my website.

              Thank you!

There are several unhappy clients (on this and other posts) - an update every few hours would help alleviate the frustrations and show clients you working hard to solve the problem...

IF you really, really need to make an edit (probably a minor edit) and you can get to your Joomla database...
proceed with caution and do not proceed if you do not know what you're doing

You can go into phpmyAdmin or similar tool, find the table: <prefix>_jabuilder_pages. You should be able to identify the page you want to edit in the field "title".

The html for the page is contained in the field "content". Do not edit in place

Select the field and copy the text to a clipboard or notepad++ (or similar). Find the text you'd like to edit. Change it, save it (just in case). Copy the text from your editor and paste it back into the field "content"

This is for emergency editing of critical (and preferably small) changes.

              Hope that helps someone.

... the basic rule in one relation with your clients is one answer. Can you answer at my question of yesterday?

"Do you have the estimated time when the server update will be complete, beacause since more than one day I can't update the content of my website."

                Thank you!

Please provide an update. Not keeping folk informed leads to very unhappy clients, keeping them updated even with bad news means they will be more tolerant of the problem and understand you are doing your best to fix things. Any news is much better than no news.......

                It's too complicated for me.
I use JaBuilder's service because of its simplicity.
So where has this service gone?
                Finally, Jabuilder is gone .thebountifulboard

I hope that someday JA Page Builder will be functional again.

As a temporary solution I have just converted the JA Builder based websites to static HTML and started to edit the code manually. You can also get the code of a page built with JA Page Builder, create a new joomla's article, insert the code in the article (be sure that the editor is disabled for your user) and then assign the article you've just created to the corresponding menu item.
