Thumbnail if picture is format .webp

Can you confirm please.
News show pro 2.0.8 doesn't create thumbnails if the picture in joomla article is format .webp (source of articles : Joomla! categories).
The picture that appears on the site in the module (choice Full image) is the picture with format .webp, at the original dimensions. This is not a picture with the dimensions chosen for a thumbnail.

Are you using latest version of this module? I just checked at my end by using the thumbnail option but it's working:

As above settings, on frontend, the thumbnail will have size of 160x120px. However, it also depends on the style of Joomla template you're using, kindly check if it has style that defines the width for that thumbnail section.

The question concerns the format of the image to be transformed into a thumbnail. It seems that it is not possible to create thumbnails with an image in .webp format.
If I make a mistake or forget something, could someone point it out to me.

Could you share the URL and login info of your site and tell me the module name & article name that you're using image with .webp format so I can check?

I modified the gk.thumbs.php file by integrating in elseif image/webp and now the module creates a thumbnail from a .webp image.
