T4 bs5 blank not loading custom modules

Hi - I'm new to JA templates and I'm struggling with this one.
I'm developing a site locally and I can't get custom modules to load in the listed positions.
I tried to load a module containing an image into topbar, but could not get it to appear.
However when I opened a preview of the template I could see the image in position.
Has anyone got any idea where I'm going wrong?
Although I'm new to Joomlart templates I've been working with JoomlaBamboo for years, so I'm not a novice.

Hmm - I can get modules to display in the sidebars and footer position, but none of the other positions in the list.

This could be problem in the layout view. Maybe the page on which you assigned the module does not have the module positions. It is little hard to say more as site is not accessible But there is no issue found to view module.
Please check if you are using the latest version of T4 and template.
If still issue exist kindly put the site online and submit a temp super user login in the edit fields options so i can check it directly on your site.
