Favicon not displaying

Despite having my Favicon and Logo set in my Theme Style, the favivon remains the default Joomla Favicon.

When I view source for the website, I am seeing two lines of code calling a favicon. The first one is the correct one, the second is the default Joomla Favicon stored in the JA Ego folder. Of course, HTML reads top down so the proper Favicon is being replaced.

How can I fix this? See attachment.

Favicon must be in ico formate.
Kindly use the image with name favicon.ico
It must be .ico file type. There are online tools that can covert the image file to favicon.

1. Why would you require ICO? PNG has been more common for almost a decade now. I don't remember the last time I had to make an ICO file.

ICO does not work. If I try and upload ICO with the theme editor, I get an error. If I try uploading with Joomla Media. I get an error. If I upload the file manually via FTP or File browser, it doesn't even show up in the file list as something to select. I've tried converting the file with 3 different services, same issue each time. I've also tried creating a whole new Favicon with favicon.io, same issue.

The Site setting favicon option seems have issue not override the default ico file
