It relates to the layout /menu class used for that menu module in footer.

kblubis That class helps the menu to have 2 columns style. If you want the same style, you can add the same class for other menu module.

kblubis As I mentioned above, the class cols-2 is used for menu module, not all other modules.
For the contact module, you will need another module in 'footer-1' so it can look like our demo site. I put a Latest Articles module there, kindly check.
